Lingering back issues and other musculoskeletal conditions are more common than you might expect amongst individuals living in the United States. As such, chiropractic care is a necessary service to manage pain and improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion for individuals suffering from such conditions. Chiropractic care understands that most chronic pain conditions stem from joint and spinal misalignment and dysfunction. Consequently, chiropractors focus on providing proper alignment to the spine and joints to relieve pain and improve chronic pain conditions. If you think you could benefit from chiropractic care, we welcome you to come to Medallus Urgent Care today!
While not all chiropractors are available for a walk-in appointment, there are some that do accept walk-in appointments, including ours at Medallus Urgent Care in Jamestown, North Dakota! Our chiropractors at Medallus Urgent Care would be happy to see you today for high-quality chiropractic treatment as a walk-in appointment! Our urgent care clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
The length of a chiropractic appointment varies according to several different factors. Some of these factors include the severity of your condition or pain, how many issues you would like to have addressed, and if it is your initial visit or a subsequent appointment. As such, initial chiropractic visits are likely to take between 30 minutes and one hour, as they aim to build the foundation for the therapeutic relationship between patient and provider, identify the cause of your pain, and establish a treatment plan moving forward. Subsequent visits to the chiropractor will likely last between 15 and 30 minutes.
During your initial visit, your chiropractor may also inform you on how joint, muscle, and nerve dysfunctions occur and how chiropractic care aims to remedy such dysfunctions, in addition to identifying the cause of your pain and developing a treatment plan. The initial visit will also provide an opportunity for you to ask your chiropractor any questions you have about chiropractic care in general, your symptoms, or your condition.
The number of sessions you will need with your chiropractor will ultimately depend on the nature and severity of your pain or condition. At the end of your first session, a treatment plan will be established between you and your chiropractor. As part of this treatment plan, your chiropractor will also provide an estimate for how many sessions you will likely require to experience lasting improvement and pain relief. With that being said, that number will most likely be subject to change according to how well you respond to treatment and if any adjustments need to be made over the course of your treatment plan.
With regard to seeing a chiropractor, you should not need to obtain a referral from your physician before visiting one. However, depending on the type of health insurance plan you have, there may be referral requirements to obtain coverage for chiropractic services. If so, it is best to check with your insurance provider directly before receiving chiropractic treatment. We are happy to accept all health insurance plans at Medallus Urgent Care, with the exception of out-of-state Medicaid. If you have any insurance-related questions for us, please feel free to call us. Our financial administrators would be happy to sort out all of the necessary details with you.
